Travian mmorpg - Is travian a cheat proof on-line game?
72Like most mmorpg or better, like most multiplayer on-line games Travian has been growing in the number of users and the number of servers. It has become rapidly a world-wide on-line game with versions in almost every language, and local servers from many nationalities.
However like all games, it has its flaws...and some of them are accepted as rules others can ban you from the game.
Gold, the game permits you to buy gold and use this gold to convert in to a few positive things that can actually help you get ahead of the game. For example,it can increase your production in 25% on all resources, or it can increase your defense or offense. It can even make your village population grow much quicker, by permitting the construction of two things simultaneously. Besides all this it can also help you balance you resources on the market, it automatically gives you the opportunity to level off your resources. Without a doubt a player using travian gold from the beginning till end of the game will sure be ahead of a non gold user.
Regarding gold their is a few methods of increasing it, one is paying for it, another is cheating ... how is this done? For every new player you invite into the game, you'll receive 20 gold coins as soon as he reaches a certain population, well guess what? You can invite the same player a few times during the game, so the same e-mail account is used several times to achieve the population ... when you receive the gold, the account is dropped ... and this process is repeated a few times during the game.
I hate to say this, but it's very likely that almost every player has a second account, and plays on several boards simultaneously. Their are several reasons for this to happen, first because of the necessity for extra resources ... although their is a daily transfer limit, I figure it should be very difficult to control. And to bypass this, you can simply exchange negatively through the market.Imagine you village A needs timber your village B would buy 1:2 ...
The second village is also used by the most advanced players, as potential spy's in other alliances. It's true, almost every top alliance has them, call them spy's, moles ... their everywhere. It's easy to detect when they exist, harder is to identify who is the spy, but with time, attention and mistakes you will figure it out. Have you ever seen a general defense move, where the attacker all of sudden stopped attacking? It's because someone gave out information about the defensive strategy in place.
At the moment most alliances have chosen to set up websites for their allies ... well, if you participate enough you'll have access to something really great ... a software that manages your village for you. Basically all you have to do is introduce you login and password, define what you want to build by order, define your farms and what type of troops to attack ... and boom ... you are farming 24h a day 7 days a week. And for sure you'll see your village evolve.
One thing you should be very careful with: your password, I see many people giving out passwords, to be someones sitter or be sitted by someone you don't need to give out you password. Avoid it, it can be dangerous and destroy your game. Don't forget this is an on-line game and you may not know who your actually dealing with. So be careful, I've seen a lot of steeling and troop attacking friends to say that this is rare, it happens and if your not careful it'll happen to you.
These are just some of the things I came across, obviously much more can be said, but overall it's a game that can turn into a habit, and after you put in so much time, effort and sometimes money it's a shame to let it all go to waste, so enjoy.
